AP - A deputy jailer of a Kentucky detention facility is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with an inmate. News outlets report state police say year-old Vanessa Tester, of Richmond, was arrested Tuesday and charged with sodomy. State police said Madison County Jailer Steve Tussey asked them to investigate after he learned of the allegations early that morning.

AP — Kentucky authorities say the state will start using rapid DNA testing for sexual assault investigations. Authorities said Wednesday that the rapid DNA system has proven successful at identifying suspects within hours. For the last several months, Kentucky State Police forensics' laboratories have piloted use of the system.

According to a news release, year-old Paul Mitchell Wallace is wanted for failing to comply with the terms of the Sex Offender Registry. The registry describes him as a black male, 5'-8" tall, weighing pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. According to the registry, Wallace was originally convicted for engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor.

PADUCAH — Investigators are searching for a convicted sex offender in west Kentucky after state police say he failed to comply with the sex offender registry. The man, year-old Eddie J. Jones, was most recently known to live in Paducah, a Kentucky State Police news release says, but he has not verified his address since early this year. A warrant has been issued charging Jones with failure to comply with the Kentucky sex offender registry.
